What to Pack for Your Next Beach Resort Getaway

Summer is the season of longer days and warmer temperatures. With plenty of sun to go around, you have likely already enjoyed a few afternoons by the pool. However, this is also the time of the year when it can be nice to get away for a little while, and there is no better way to do so than by booking yourself a beach resort vacation.

When you stay at a resort by the beach, you get all the benefits of being by the water with all of the convenience that a resort can offer. You won’t have to worry about meals, refreshments, or entertainment as it will all be taken care of for you. All you have to do is show up and relax.

In order to ensure that you will be able to relax during your entire vacation, it is a good idea to take care while packing. You don’t want to end up arriving at your resort only to find that you have left something important behind.

With that in mind, if you are planning to go on a beach resort getaway this summer, here are a few things that you need to make sure to pack.

One of the main things that you will be doing on your vacation is lounging by the pool. Because of this, it is important to make sure that you have at least one option for swimwear, if not two. Bringing a second swimsuit along is a good idea in case your primary one ends up getting ruined somehow while you are away.

While you can’t go wrong with a classic black suit, you might want to go with something a bit bolder such as a red bikini. This is the sort of eye-catching piece that is perfectly appropriate for a resort and that will go nicely with your leather sandals or white swimsuit cover.

Active Wear

Even though you will likely not be spending the bulk of your time in the gym while you are on vacation, it is still a good idea to bring along at least one set of activewear. You might want to get a little run on the beach in while you are away or hit the gym for an hour or two one afternoon. It can be nice to do a little workout since you will spend most of your time lounging and eating your favorite foods.

Furthermore, active wear is a good option if you decide that you want to go on an excursion or a hike in the local area. Depending on where you are going, there might be some lovely sights to visit in the surrounding region.

Evening Wear

Even though you likely won’t be attending any black tie events at your resort, you will still want to bring a few nice evening outfits for dinners and such. You can’t go wrong with longer, flowy dresses or smart summer dresses for your nicer evening meals. Make sure to pair them with some resort-friendly heels or wedges.
